Refresh
Refresh is a unique program designed to create a strong sense of community, restore local pride, and improve the living conditions of those living in homes provided by Toronto Community Housing. This program runs for one week in the month of July. Volunteers from across Toronto and beyond join forces with local residents to paint the interior of their homes, eat together, and provide a variety of volunteer services designed to develop a network of neighbourhood support. Approximately 100 homes were involved in 2011.
We are now planning for Refresh 2012! We are hoping to paint up to 6 different sites next year. If you would like to volunteer for Refresh 2012 send us an email at refresh@ephraimsplace.com.
Refresh 2011
Refresh 2011 was a huge success! For the first time we painted in two different sites. We had roughly 340 volunteers give their time and energy to paint 100 homes! We had volunteers come from World Vision Canada, Supply Chain Management, and various local churches and organizations. Some groups came from as far as Tennesse to be a part of this great program.
We would like to thank all of the volunteers who came out and made this all possible!
